Dr. Swatantra Jain President, Great Chyren Welfare Council want to develop a holistic and human world by universal human values of truth, love and compassion, justice, liberty, equality and fraternity as human values provides well-tested foundational inputs which are universal, rational, verifiable, all-encompassing and leading to harmony, i.e., Human rights, sustainable development and sustainable living as well as global well-being for all.
Thus UHV are the foundation of a holistic and human world. They provide well-tested foundational inputs that are universal, rational, verifiable, all-encompassing, and lead to harmony. This harmony includes human rights, sustainable development, and sustainable living, as well as global well-being for all.
Universal Human Values (UHV) are fundamental to human nature and human existence. They are universal in nature, applicable to all human beings, in all places and all times. Some examples of UHV include truth, love, compassion, justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
UHV are based on the understanding of the relatedness, undividedness, connectedness, and coexistence of human beings, nature, and existence. They are the role of human beings in nature and existence.
Since time immemorial, human beings have strived to live with fulfillment. This fulfillment is called by different names, such as bliss, peace, satisfaction, happiness, fulfillment, salvation, contentment, enlightenment, liberation, independence, self-actualization, ecstasy, and divinity.
UHV are the root of our character. If we do not tend to the roots, the character that springs from it will bring little benefit to ourselves, the lives of others, or the well-being of the planet.
After understanding UHV, we can be in harmony within ourselves and participate meaningfully with other human beings and the rest of nature. Without the understanding and inculcation of UHV, human beings tend to be in disharmony within themselves, unable to fulfill relationships with other human beings, and unable to live in harmony with the rest of nature.
For lasting peace and happiness in this world, we must all make the journey forward together. No one should be left behind. As we become better human beings, we build better families, stronger communities, successful nations, and a peaceful and stable world for ourselves and our future generations.
Here are some of the benefits of living by Universal Human Values:
- Increased happiness and fulfillment
- Improved relationships with others
- Greater sense of peace and well-being
- Increased self-confidence and self-esteem
- A stronger sense of community
- A more just and equitable world
